Stacey Hammond has been teaching since 1993. She received her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Art, emphasis in Ceramics, from the University of Arizona. While there, she studied in Florence, Italy, and discovered her love for the arts. Stacey received a California Teaching Credential and a Masters of Science in Education in 1994. She has taught kindergarten at Edgewood School in Santa Ana and second grade at Lincoln Elementary School in Corona del Mar. There, Stacey hatched a plan for an art and computer school called FYI-For Your Imagination. She was the owner

of FYI for 16 years, teaching multimedia art with a rich cultural component. Stacey was an Art Teacher at Harbor Day School in Corona del Mar from 2010-2021. Her students won numerous awards at YAM,

Youth Art Month, Imagination Celebration, Irvine Fine Arts Center 3-D Show, Color it Orange, and The

Laguna Festival of the Arts. Her young artists have

also been awarded first place at state-level competitions for artistic excellence. Stacey was an art director for the annual Harbor Day School Harbor

Lights publication and sat on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee. She spent summers teaching Art

in Tanzania, Costa Rica, China, and Ecuador. She has attended the NAEA conferences in Boston and New York and has spent a week in Santa Fe studying at the Bullseye Glass Company. Stacey is dedicated to teaching her students to “think outside the box.” She cultivates a risk-free learning environment where students are encouraged to discover their individual abilities and style. Stacey is not only an educator, but an accomplished artist specializing in Ceramics, and is constantly creating!

summer camps are Monday-Friday
from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

FYI camps offer a WILD collaboration of Creativity, Music, and Art History. We fuse clay, painting, printmaking, digital photography, music, art history, trends, and more as we create funky and fabulous projects! Students explore a variety of genres and the art that made those movements crazy and colorful. We learn about artists and discover their inspirations. This summer we will focus on "Countries" and how the art and music energize it all.

Camps are taught with two teachers and a max of 16 students. Camps fill quickly and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment is due at the time of enrollment.

To enroll, please email Stacey Hammond at artatfyi@gmail.com

clay. The projects vary from textured platters to candle pots, and ceramic antlers for holiday
wreaths, to name a few. These four week classes are offered six times a year. There will be fun
